Ayish Bayou starts its journey in San Augustine County. You can find its beginning about 7 miles (11 km) north of the town of San Augustine. This spot is near the county line, close to a place called Shelby.
Its Path and End
From its starting point, Ayish Bayou flows towards the southeast. It travels for about 47 miles (76 km), moving through the middle of San Augustine County. Eventually, this river flows into the Angelina River, which is located in the northern part of Jasper County, Texas.
