Ayize Jama-Everett is an American writer who creates exciting science fiction and speculative fiction stories. He is well-known for his trilogy of books: The Liminal People (first published in 2009), The Liminal War (2015), and The Entropy of Bones (2015).
His books are special because they don't fit into just one type of story. Another writer, Charles Yu, said that Ayize's work explores different viewpoints, especially through characters with mixed backgrounds. Ayize himself believes his writing can help people who feel like their stories are not often told in books or movies. He says, "There’s a big wound in not being seen, in having your reality not being represented in any way.”
In 2021, Ayize Jama-Everett teamed up with writer and artist John Jennings to publish Box of Bones. This is a horror comic book that tells spooky stories connected to shared experiences and history.
