"Baby Mine" is a famous song from the 1941 Disney animated movie Dumbo. The music was written by Frank Churchill, and the words (lyrics) were by Ned Washington. Betty Noyes sang the song for the original film.
In the movie, this sweet lullaby is sung when Dumbo's mother, Mrs. Jumbo, comforts her baby Dumbo. She is an elephant who is locked in a circus wagon. She cradles him gently with her trunk. This scene is also the last time you see the circus animals in the film.
The song was very popular and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1942. This is a very important award for movie songs. It is also listed by the AFI as one of America's greatest film songs.
