Baby Rani Maurya was born in 1956. She studied hard and earned two university degrees. She has a Bachelor of Education degree. She also has a Master of Arts degree.
Her Political Journey
Baby Rani Maurya started her political career in the early 1990s. She joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This is one of India's major political parties.
Mayor of Agra
In 1995, she ran for mayor of Agra. She won the election with many votes. This made her the first woman to be the mayor of Agra. She served in this important role until the year 2000.
Working for Social Causes
In 1997, Baby Rani Maurya took on a new role. She became an officer in the BJP's wing for scheduled castes. These are groups of people who have faced challenges in society. Her job was to help the BJP connect with these communities.

After being Governor, Baby Rani Maurya continued her political work. She became a National Vice President of the BJP. In 2022, she was elected to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. This means she represents people from the Agra Rural area. In March 2022, she became a minister in the Uttar Pradesh government.
