Exploring Bacău's Landscape
The western part of Bacău County is home to mountains from the Eastern Carpathian range. In this area, the valleys of the Oituz River and Trotuș River create important pathways. These paths connect the regions of Moldavia and Transylvania.
As you move east, the land becomes flatter. The lowest point in the county is found in the valley of the Siret River. This river flows through the middle of the county from north to south. Further east, you'll find the Moldavian Plateau, which has many smaller rivers crossing it.
