The Municipal District of Badlands No. 7 was a special type of local government area, like a county, in southern Alberta, Canada. It existed for seven years between 1991 and 1998. After this, it joined with the former City of Drumheller to create the current Town of Drumheller.
History of Badlands No. 7
The Municipal District (MD) of Badlands No. 7 was first created on January 1, 1991. Before this, it was known as Improvement District No. 7. Seven years later, on January 1, 1998, the MD of Badlands No. 7 and the City of Drumheller combined. They formed the new Town of Drumheller that we know today.

According to the 2001 Census, the area that used to be the MD of Badlands No. 7 had 1,282 people. This was a small increase of 2.9% from its population of 1,246 in 1996. The land area was about 70.68 square kilometers (27.29 square miles). This means that in 2001, there were about 18.1 people living in each square kilometer.
