Wayne is a small community in Alberta, Canada. It is part of the Town of Drumheller. Wayne used to be a "hamlet," which is a very small village. It joined Drumheller on January 1, 1998.
This community is about 10 kilometers (6 miles) southeast of Drumheller. It is also about 104 kilometers (65 miles) northeast of Calgary. Wayne sits in the beautiful Rosebud River valley. It is about 695 meters (2,280 feet) above sea level.
To reach Wayne, you travel on Highway 10X. This road goes through a deep canyon in the badlands. The canyon is about 150 meters (490 feet) deep. You will cross 11 bridges over the Rosebud River to get there!
Wayne is located in a part of Alberta called Census Division No. 5. It was also in a federal voting area known as Crowfoot.
