Bagadó is a town and a special kind of area called a municipality in Colombia. It is located in the Chocó Department, which is a part of Colombia.
Bagadó was founded a long time ago, in the year 1578. It covers an area of about 777 square kilometers.
People and Government
In 2015, about 13,174 people lived in Bagadó. Most of these people live in the wider municipality area, while about 2,540 live in the main town itself.
The leader of Bagadó is called the Mayor. The Mayor helps run the town and make decisions for the people who live there. As of now, the Mayor of Bagadó is Marinella Palomeque Serna.
Climate and Weather
Bagadó has a very wet tropical rainforest climate. This means it gets a lot of rain all year round. The weather is usually warm and humid, typical for places close to the equator.
