Bagley is a small town in Oconto County, Wisconsin, United States. In the year 2000, about 333 people lived there.
Bagley started a long time ago as a place where people worked with wood. It was called a logging camp. The town grew into a small community. It was named after the Bagley family.
The town is located along the Oconto River. This part of the river was very shallow. This made it hard to float logs down the river. Sometimes, dams were broken to create floods. These floods would carry the logs away.
As fewer trees were left to cut, the logging camp became smaller. Many men left and joined the CCC in the 1930s. The CCC was a program that helped people find jobs during tough times. Over time, Bagley continued to shrink. Today, only a few homes remain.
