Balliettsville (sometimes spelled Ballietsville) is a small community in North Whitehall Township, located in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. It's not a city or a town with its own local government, but rather a group of homes and businesses that are part of a larger township.
This community is nestled within the Lehigh Valley, a larger area that is home to many people. In 2020, the Lehigh Valley had over 860,000 residents, making it one of the bigger metropolitan areas in the United States.
You can find Balliettsville where Pennsylvania Route 329 meets Mauch Chunk Road. It's about eight miles north of Allentown and six miles west of Northampton. About 1,000 people call Balliettsville home. Students in the village attend schools in the Parkland School District.
History
Balliettsville is the oldest village in North Whitehall Township. The community is named after Paulus Balliet, who was an early landowner in the area.
