Big Tournaments Hosted
This golf club has been chosen to host some really big golf competitions.
- In 1998, it hosted the Ladies Irish Open, where top female golfers competed.
- In 2018, the club welcomed the Irish Open. This is a major event where many professional golfers from all over the world come to play.
- Most recently, in 2024, Ballyliffin Golf Club hosted The Amateur Championship. This is a very important tournament for amateur golfers, who are players who don't play golf for money.

The Glashedy Links course at Ballyliffin has seen some incredible scores.
- Back in 2002, a golfer named Jean-François Lucquin set a record with a score of 67.
- Then, in 2006, the famous golfer Rory McIlroy played even better, scoring a 66.
- The record was broken again during the 2018 Irish Open. Three golfers – Erik van Rooyen, Andy Sullivan, and Jorge Campillo – all shot an amazing score of 65! They now share the honor of holding the course record on the Glashedy Links.
