The Children's Cultural Prize of Tórshavn City Council (called Barnamentanarheiðursløn Tórshavnar býráðs in Faroese) is a special award from the Faroe Islands. It's given by the City Council of Tórshavn, which is like the local government for the capital city. This prize celebrates people who create amazing art and culture for kids in the Faroe Islands.

The award goes to Faroese writers, artists, musicians, or even groups like orchestras. They get the prize for their great work that helps children learn and enjoy culture.

Before 2010, the prize was called the Children's Book Prize of Tórshavn City Council. But in 2010, the rules changed. The word bók (which means book) was changed to mentan (which means culture). This change was made so that the prize could also be given to people who do not write books but still create wonderful cultural experiences for Faroese children.
