About the Show
Barriers tells the exciting story of a teenager named Billy Stanyon, played by Benedict Taylor. Billy faces a big challenge when he learns his parents were lost in a sailing accident. He then finds out something even more surprising: he was adopted!
Billy's Big Journey
After this discovery, Billy decides to go on an adventure to find his birth parents. His search takes him all across Europe! The show was filmed in real places like Scotland, Germany, and Austria, making his journey feel very real.
The series had two parts. The first part, with thirteen episodes, came out in 1981. A second part, with seven more episodes, followed in 1982. Each episode was about 30 minutes long.
