The Barrio Boyzz were a popular Puerto Rican boy band. They started in New York City in 1991. Joe Jacket, who was part of the famous group New Kids on the Block, helped create the band.
The group signed with SBK Records in 1991. They became well-known for their catchy songs.
Music and Movies
The Barrio Boyzz were not just singers. They also appeared in a movie! In 1994, they starred in the film I Like It Like That.
One of their biggest hits was a song called "Donde Quiera Que Estés". This song was a duet with the American singer Selena. It was super popular and reached number-one on the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart in 1994. This chart lists the most popular Latin songs in the United States.
The band continued making music for several years. They officially stopped performing together in 2001.
