Barry Lake is a freshwater lake located in Quebec, Canada. You can find it in the northeastern part of Senneterre, which is in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region.
This lake is special because it's where two rivers begin. The Saint-Cyr River South starts here and flows south, eventually joining the Mégiscane River. Also, the Saint-Cyr River begins here and flows north, leading to the Opawica River.
Barry Lake is located across two areas called Barry and Bailly townships. The main activity around the lake is forestry, which means cutting down trees for wood. After that, recreational tourism is also important, with people visiting for fun activities.
You can reach the area around Barry Lake by using forest roads. One road goes north-south along the east side of the Saint-Cyr River Valley. Another road goes east-west and connects to the northern part of the Barry Lake Biodiversity Reserve.
Usually, the surface of Barry Lake is frozen from early November until mid-May. It's generally safe to walk or move on the ice from mid-November to mid-April.
