Barry Ward is an actor from Ireland. He started acting when he was a child. His first roles were in TV shows like Family (1994) and Plotlands (1997). He also appeared in the movie Sunburn (1999).

Barry Ward grew up in Blanchardstown. This is a suburb in the northwest of Dublin, Ireland. He went to school at St. Declan's College in Cabra. After school, he studied English and Philosophy. He went to NUI Maynooth for his university studies.
Acting Career Highlights
Barry Ward began acting on TV when he was 14 years old. He played John Paul Spencer in the miniseries Family in 1994. The next year, he acted on stage in a play called Buddleia. This play was part of the Dublin Theatre Festival.
In 1997, he returned to TV in the show Plotlands. He played Fionn Mulligan in this period drama. His first movie role was in Soft Sand, Blue Sea in 1998. In 1999, he starred with Cillian Murphy in the film Sunburn.
In 2014, Barry Ward played the main character in Jimmy's Hall. This movie was shown at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. He also appeared in Blood Cells that year. He was in Shooting for Socrates and the thriller Pursuit in 2015. In Pursuit, he acted alongside Liam Cunningham and Brendan Gleeson.
In 2016, he played Arthur Mahon in the TV show Rebellion. He also appeared in The Fall. Barry Ward played a politician named Ian Paisley Jr in the film The Journey. He was also in the science fiction movie Realive.
