Basile Boli (born 2 January 1967) is a French former professional footballer. He played as a defender. Today, he is a television sports presenter. Basile Boli spent most of his football career in the 1980s and 1990s. He played for clubs like Auxerre and Marseille. Later in his career, he also played for Rangers in Scotland, Monaco in France, and Urawa Reds in Japan. Even though he was born in Ivory Coast, he played 45 games for the French national team. He scored one goal for France and was part of their team at the 1992 European Championship.

Early Life and Club Career
Basile Boli was born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. He moved to France when he was young. He started playing football in youth teams in Paris. In 1982, he joined AJ Auxerre. He was a strong defender.
Boli quickly became a key player for Auxerre. He also made his first appearance for the French national team in 1986. He played a total of 45 games for his country.
Success with Marseille
Because of his great skills, many top French clubs wanted Basile Boli. In 1990, he signed with Olympique de Marseille. This club was becoming very strong in France. Boli helped Marseille win the Ligue 1 league title in 1991 and 1992.
He was also a regular player in the 1992–93 UEFA Champions League season. This was a very important time for him. He scored the only goal in the final match against A.C. Milan. This goal helped Marseille win the Champions League trophy. While at Marseille, he even recorded a song called 'We've Got a Feeling' with his teammate Chris Waddle.
Later Career and Retirement
After his time at Marseille, Basile Boli moved to Rangers in Scotland in 1994. He played 28 league games for them and scored two goals. He helped Rangers win the league title in the 1994–95 season.
After one season with Rangers, Boli returned to France. He played for AS Monaco FC for a year. He then finished his football career in 1997 after playing for Urawa Red Diamonds in Japan.
