The Bedded Range is a group of mountains found in British Columbia, Canada. It's part of a larger mountain system called the Hozameen Range, which is itself a section of the North Cascades. These mountains are an extension of the famous Cascade Range that stretches into Canada.

You can find the Bedded Range nestled between two rivers: the Coquihalla and the Tulameen River. The mountains here are mostly made of a type of rock called diorite. This rock formed from a large mass of molten rock that pushed up from deep inside the Earth.

What Animals and Plants Live Here?

The Bedded Range is home to many different kinds of plants and animals. It's a place where you can find various mammals, amphibians, and birds. The natural environment supports a wide variety of life.

One interesting amphibian that lives in this area is the Rough-skinned newt. Its scientific name is Taricha granulosa. What's special about many of these newts is that they keep their gills even when they become adults. This means they can breathe underwater like young newts, even after they've grown up. About 90 out of every 100 newts in this area show this unique feature.
