Beethoven's 5th is a fun family comedy movie from 2003. It's the fifth film in the popular Beethoven series, which is all about a lovable St. Bernard dog. This movie went straight to video, meaning it wasn't shown in cinemas. In this film, a young actress named Daveigh Chase plays the character of Sara.
This movie was the last one in the original Beethoven series. A new movie called Beethoven's Big Break came out in 2008, but it was a fresh start for the character, not a direct follow-up.

The Story of Beethoven's 5th
A Summer Adventure Begins
The movie starts when Sara Newton and her big, furry dog, Beethoven, go to spend the summer. They are visiting Sara's uncle, Freddy Kablinski, in an old mining town. This town is called Quicksilver. Uncle Freddy is a bit clumsy, but he's a mechanic and Sara's mom's brother.
Beethoven's Big Discovery
While in Quicksilver, the playful Beethoven starts digging around. He accidentally uncovers a very important clue! This clue points to a legendary hidden treasure. The treasure belonged to two old bank robbers named Moe and Rita Selig.
The Treasure Hunt Begins
As soon as Beethoven's discovery is known, everyone in town gets excited. They all want to be Beethoven's best friend now! His find starts a big treasure hunt among the people and even some animals in the community.
Solving the Town's Secret
Sara and Beethoven team up with Uncle Freddy. They also get help from a boy named Garrett. Together, they try to uncover the secret of the hidden treasure. This secret has been hidden in the little town for many years. It's an exciting adventure to see if they can find the fortune!
