Daveigh Elizabeth Chase (born July 24, 1990) is an American actress. She is well-known for her voice roles as Lilo Pelekai in the Disney movie Lilo & Stitch and its TV series. She also voiced Chihiro in the English version of the Studio Ghibli film Spirited Away.
Daveigh Chase also played the spooky character Samara Morgan in the 2002 horror film The Ring. From 2006 to 2011, she had a main role in the TV series Big Love.

Early Life and Beginnings
Daveigh Chase was born on July 24, 1990, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She grew up in Albany, Oregon. She started acting in small TV roles when she was young.
Voice Acting Successes
Daveigh's big break came in 2002 when she got the main voice role of Lilo Pelekai in the Disney animated movie, Lilo & Stitch. The film is about a Hawaiian girl named Lilo who becomes friends with a strange blue alien named Stitch. Lilo tries to teach Stitch how to be good using Elvis Presley music.
For her amazing work as Lilo, Daveigh won an Annie Award in 2003. She also continued to voice Lilo in the TV show Lilo & Stitch: The Series.
Around the same time, Daveigh also voiced the main character, Chihiro Ogino, in the English version of the Japanese animated film Spirited Away. This movie is about a 10-year-old girl who enters a magical world.
Memorable Live-Action Roles
In 2002, Daveigh Chase starred as Samara Morgan in the horror movie The Ring. Her performance as the scary child earned her the Best Villain award at the MTV Movie Awards in 2003. She beat out many famous actors for this award!
She also played Samantha Darko, the younger sister of the main character, in the film Donnie Darko (2001). She returned to this role in the sequel, S. Darko, in 2009.
From 2006 to 2011, Daveigh had a significant role in the HBO drama series Big Love. In this show, she played Rhonda Volmer, a teenager raised in a family where the father has multiple wives.

Daveigh Chase appeared in many other movies and TV shows. Some of her early film roles include Carolina (2003) and Beethoven's 5th (2003). She also made guest appearances in popular TV shows like Touched by an Angel, Charmed, and ER.
In 2007, she voiced Betsy in the PBS show Betsy's Kindergarten Adventures. Later, she appeared in thriller films such as Killer Crush (2015) and Jack Goes Home (2016).
