Bejuma's Past: A Brief History
The town of Bejuma started in 1843. It was founded by the owners of a large farm called "Fundo Bejuma" hacienda.
On December 25, 1999, Cubana de Aviación Flight 310, a Yakovlev Yak-42 plane, had an accident near Bejuma. The plane was flying from Havana, Cuba to Simón Bolívar International Airport in Venezuela.
