Bellevue Towers is a huge building complex in downtown Bellevue, Washington. It has two tall towers filled with homes called condominiums. Building started in 2006 and finished in 2009. The towers are 42 and 43 stories high! They have 539 homes and also shops on the ground floor. There are eight levels of parking underground too. The whole complex sits on a large piece of land, about 2.43 acres.

What Makes Bellevue Towers Special?

Bellevue Towers is known for being very eco-friendly. It is the biggest residential building in the Pacific Northwest to get a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold certification. This means it was built using many green ideas.

Eco-Friendly Features

The buildings have special glass that saves energy. They use plumbing fixtures that don't waste water. Even the toilets use less water! There is a garden on the roof between the towers. This helps keep the buildings cool and green. The heating system is also very efficient.

Who Built It?

The project cost about $436 million to build. It was developed by a company called Gerding Edlen. The actual construction was done by Hoffman Construction Company. After the buildings were finished, the company that developed them faced some money problems. They had to give the project over to their lender in 2011.
