Ben Sirmans was born on October 17, 1970. He is an American football coach. He used to play as a running back. Today, he is the running backs coach for the Green Bay Packers. This team is part of the National Football League (NFL).

Playing Career: College Football
Ben Sirmans was a starting running back for the Black Bears college team. He played from 1990 to 1993. For three of those seasons, his coach was Kirk Ferentz.
In his final year, Ben ran for over 1,000 yards. This is a great achievement for a running back. He earned special honors for his performance. He was named to the all-conference and All-New England teams. Ben graduated from college with a degree in physical education, health, and recreation.
Coaching Career: From High School to the NFL
After his playing days, Ben Sirmans started his coaching journey. He has coached at different levels, from high school to college and then to the NFL.
College Coaching Roles
Ben's first coaching job was at Barringer High School in Newark, New Jersey. He worked there for three years, from 1993 to 1995. He was the assistant head coach and also coached the offense and special teams.
In 1996, Ben returned to his old college, Maine. He coached the Black Bears' running backs and helped find new players until 1999. His coach there was Jack Cosgrove.
In 2000, he moved to Kent State to coach their running backs. He stayed there until 2004. In 2005, Ben became the running backs coach for Michigan State. The next year, in 2006, he also took on the role of special teams coordinator.
From 2007 to 2011, Ben coached running backs at Boston College. While there, he helped recruit a talented player named Luke Kuechly. In 2012, he was going to coach at Rutgers, but he got an exciting offer to coach in the NFL instead.
NFL Coaching Roles
In 2012, Ben Sirmans joined the St. Louis Rams as their running backs coach. He worked with the team until the end of the 2015 season. When the Rams moved to Los Angeles, Ben decided to move on.
On February 17, 2016, the Green Bay Packers hired him. He became their running backs coach. He has been with the Packers ever since. In 2019, when Matt LaFleur became the new head coach, Ben Sirmans was kept on the coaching staff.
Personal Life
Ben Sirmans is married to Letia Thompson. Letia is from Akron, Ohio. Ben and Letia have a son named Marcus.
