Brou Benjamin Angoua, born on November 28, 1986, is a professional football player from Ivory Coast. He plays as a centre-back, which is a defender, for the French club Stade Briochin. Benjamin is also good at playing as a defensive midfielder, another important role in football. He has played for his country, the Ivory Coast national football team, in big tournaments like the Olympic Games and the Africa Cup of Nations.

Benjamin Angoua's Football Journey
Benjamin Angoua started his football career in his hometown of Anyama, Ivory Coast. He first played for a local club called Toumodi. Later, he joined Africa Sports National, a team in the top football league of Ivory Coast.
Playing in Hungary
After playing for two seasons in Ivory Coast, Angoua moved to Hungary. He joined the club Budapest Honvéd. He stayed with this team for four years. During his time there, he played in over 90 matches.
Moving to France
In 2010, Angoua moved to France to play for Valenciennes, a club in the first division. He played there for four and a half seasons. On July 15, 2014, he signed with another French club, Guingamp.
Time in the United States
After two and a half years in France, Angoua went to the United States. He joined the New England Revolution team on a one-year loan in 2017. A loan means he played for them temporarily. His loan ended after the 2017 season.
Playing in Greece
On December 30, 2018, Benjamin Angoua signed a contract with Super League Greece club Levadiakos in Greece. He played there for one and a half years.
Return to France
Angoua left Greece when his contract with Levadiakos ended. In July 2020, he returned to France. He signed a one-year deal with Stade Briochin, a team that had just moved up to a higher league. He continues to play for Stade Briochin.

Benjamin Angoua has also played for the national football team of Ivory Coast.
Olympic Games Experience
In 2008, Angoua played for the Ivory Coast under-23 team at the Olympic Games. His team reached the quarterfinals but lost to Nigeria.
Senior Team Debut
On November 18, 2009, Angoua played his first game for the senior Ivory Coast team. It was a friendly match against Germany, which ended in a 2–2 draw. He came into the game as a substitute. He scored his first goal for the senior team in a friendly match against Rwanda. He scored in the 90th minute, helping his team win 2–0.
Africa Cup of Nations
Angoua was chosen for the squad for the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2010 FIFA World Cup. However, he did not play in either of these tournaments. He did play for the senior team in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations. He came on as a substitute in a 2–0 win against Angola.
