About the Station Building

What Does the Station Look Like?

The station building is made of strong stone. It is located on the north side of the train tracks. Inside, you can find a convenience store and deli. There's also a large seating area with a high ceiling. You can use a public restroom and a machine to buy tickets.

A Historic Building

In 1984, the Bernardsville station building was added to two important lists: the New Jersey Register of Historic Places and the National Register of Historic Places. This means it's recognized as a special historical building.

Parking at the Station

If you need to park your car, there are spots available. Some parking spots require a yearly permit. There are also a few hourly parking spots. Plus, you can find special spots that allow free short-term parking after 10 a.m.

Millicent Fenwick Statue

Near the entrance to the station parking lot, you can see a statue of Millicent Fenwick. She was a well-known person who served in the United States House of Representatives. This means she was a politician who helped make laws for the country.

How to Board the Train

The station has one low-level side platform. This is where passengers wait for the train. There's also a walkway that goes across the main track. This walkway helps passengers reach the outer track to board their train.
