Far Hills is a train station in Far Hills, New Jersey. It is part of the NJ Transit system. The station is located in Somerset County. You can find it where Route 202 and County Route 512 meet. It's about half a mile east of Route 206.

History of Far Hills Station
The Far Hills station building was built in 1914. It has a special design called Spanish Revival style. There is also an old freight station nearby with a similar look.
Historic Recognition
The main station building is very important. It has been listed on both the New Jersey and National Registers of Historic Places since 1984. This means it is recognized as a historic site. It is part of a group of important train stations.
Station Layout and Features
The Far Hills station has a building with a ticket office and a waiting room. You can also find parking spaces here. There are racks for bicycles along the station house wall.
Platform and Tracks
The station has one concrete side platform. This is where passengers wait for trains. Near the station, there is a special track called a "passing siding." This allows trains going in different directions to pass each other.
Services and Connections
The Far Hills station is part of the NJ Transit Gladstone Branch. This train line offers service to several places. You can travel to Hoboken Terminal in New Jersey. You can also go to Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. This connection uses the Kearny Connection.
Local Information
The station is sometimes called Far Hills–Bedminster. This is because it is very close to the town of Bedminster. In the past, many people used this station to go to horse races. These races were held at the Far Hills Steeplechase Farm. Today, the station also has a restaurant called Butler's Pantry.
