Heber Hugo Carámbula (born October 31, 1945 – died November 14, 2015) was a very talented person from Uruguay. Many people knew him by his stage name, Berugo Carámbula. He was a popular actor, comedian, and TV host.

A Look at His Career
Berugo Carámbula started his journey in the 1960s as a musician. He formed a jazz band called "Crazy Clown Jazz Band". Later, he became a comedian.
He joined the cast of a famous Uruguayan TV show called Telecataplum. This show made him very well-known in Argentina. He worked alongside other funny people like Ricardo Espalter and Henny Trayles.
As an actor, Berugo was a big part of many comedies. He appeared in films, theatre plays, and TV shows. One of his well-known TV series was Son amores. He also hosted many TV programs in both Argentina and Uruguay.
Berugo was also a classical guitar player. In 1976, he recorded an album called Solo de Guitarra. This was his only album as a solo guitarist.
In 1988, Berugo Carámbula won a special award. He received the Martín Fierro Award for being the best TV host. He won it for his work on the show Atrévase a Soñar (Dare to Dream).
In 2004, Berugo was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. This health challenge meant he had to take a break from TV and theatre for four years.
On November 28, 2008, the local government in Canelones, Uruguay, honored him. They declared him an "illustrious citizen" of the area. Berugo Carámbula passed away on November 14, 2015, after a long time battling his illness.

Berugo was married to Adriana. They had three children: Joaquín, Gabriel, and María.
His son, Gabriel Carámbula, also became a musician. He was the lead singer for a rock band called Los Perros Calientes. Now, Gabriel has his own solo music career.
His daughter, María Carámbula, became an actress. In 2006, she played a character named Julia Demont in the TV show Chiquititas. She also worked on Herencia de amor.
