Joubert Araújo Martins, known simply as Beto, was a Brazilian professional footballer. He was born on January 7, 1975, in Cuiabá, Brazil. Beto played as a midfielder during his career. He was known for playing with many famous Brazilian clubs. These included Botafogo, Grêmio, Flamengo, Fluminense, and Vasco da Gama.
Beto started his football journey with Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas. He showed great promise early in his career. His talent led him to join the Brazilian national team in 1995. His first game for Brazil was a friendly match against Argentina in Buenos Aires, which Brazil won 1–0. Beto played for the national team 13 times. He was also part of the team that won the 1999 Copa América tournament in Paraguay.
