Elizabeth Folan Gilpin (born July 21, 1986) is an American actress. She is famous for her roles in many TV shows and movies.
You might know her as Debbie "Liberty Belle" Eagan in the Netflix comedy series GLOW. For this role, she was nominated for three big awards called Primetime Emmy Awards. She also played Dr. Carrie Roman in the TV show Nurse Jackie. In 2023, she starred as a nun fighting against artificial intelligence in the science fiction series Mrs. Davis.

Betty Gilpin's Early Life
Elizabeth Folan Gilpin was born in New York City on July 21, 1986. Her parents, Jack Gilpin and Ann McDonough, are both actors. Her father is also a priest.
Betty grew up in a part of Manhattan called the South Street Seaport. She went to the Loomis Chaffee School and then to Fordham University. She graduated from Fordham in 2008.
Betty Gilpin's Acting Journey
Betty Gilpin started her acting career with small roles in many TV shows. Some of these shows include Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Fringe, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
She became more well-known for her role as Dr. Carrie Roman in the TV show Nurse Jackie. She was on this show from 2013 until it ended in 2015. She also acted in plays off-Broadway.

Her big break came when she starred as Debbie "Liberty Belle" Eagan in the Netflix series GLOW. This show was inspired by a real 1980s women's wrestling league. Betty received a lot of praise for her acting in GLOW. She was nominated for many awards, including three Primetime Emmy Awards.
