Elizabeth "Betty" Gilpin (born July 21, 1986) is an American actress. She is well-known for playing Debbie "Liberty Belle" Eagan in the Netflix comedy series GLOW from 2017 to 2019. For this role, she was nominated for three Primetime Emmy Awards.
Betty also starred as Dr. Carrie Roman in the Showtime comedy-drama series Nurse Jackie from 2014 to 2015. In 2023, she took on the main role of a nun fighting against artificial intelligence in the Peacock science-fiction series Mrs. Davis. She has also appeared in many movies, including The Hunt (2020), for which she won an award.

Early Life and Education
Betty Gilpin was born on July 21, 1986. Her parents, Jack Gilpin and Ann McDonough, are both actors. Her father is also an Episcopal priest. Betty grew up in the South Street Seaport area of Manhattan, New York City. She has mentioned that her family's home was one of the few buildings lived in on their block, which was mostly a fish market.
Betty went to the Loomis Chaffee School and graduated in 2004. She then attended Fordham University, where she earned her degree in 2008. While at Fordham, she had the chance to study acting with the famous actress Dianne Wiest.

Betty Gilpin started her acting journey with small roles in many TV shows. These included popular series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Fringe, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Breakthrough Roles

Personal Life
Betty Gilpin married actor Cosmo Pfeil in 2016. They have two daughters. Their first daughter was born in November 2020, and their second daughter was born in May 2024.
