Bhavna Jayanty Limbachia, born on April 21, 1984, is a talented British actress. She is well-known for her roles as Alia Khan in the BBC comedy Citizen Khan and Rana Habeeb in the ITV show Coronation Street.

Bhavna's Early Life and Education
Bhavna was born in Preston, Lancashire, England, in 1984. Her mother was from India, and her father was from Kenya. She follows the Hindu faith.
She studied photography, fashion, and textiles in college. Later, she went to Bretton Hall (which is part of the University of Leeds) to study Costume Design.
Before becoming an actress, Bhavna worked behind the scenes on movie sets. She helped with costumes for films like Chicken Tikka Masala and Bradford Riots. In 2010, she even started her own business. She designed and sold cool vintage clothes and accessories.
Bhavna then saved up money to train as an actress. She attended the Manchester School of Acting.
Her Acting Career
First Roles and TV Debut
After drama school, Bhavna got her first acting job in a play called Rafta Rafta. This play was written by Ayub Khan Din. He also wrote the famous film East Is East.
In 2012, Bhavna made her first appearance on television. She played the character Alia Khan in the BBC comedy series Citizen Khan. Alia Khan was known for wearing a hijab, tight jeans, and lots of make-up.
Joining Coronation Street
In February 2016, Bhavna joined the popular ITV show Coronation Street. She played the character Rana Habeeb. Rana became a significant character in the show.
In January 2019, Bhavna announced she would be leaving Coronation Street. Her character, Rana, left the show in March 2019.
Rana's storyline was very important to many fans. Her friendship with Faye Brookes, who played Kate Connor, was highlighted. This storyline was even named one of the Top 10 LGBT+ Media Moments at the British LGBT Awards in 2019.
Bhavna's Personal Life
Bhavna Limbachia married actor Darren Kuppan in July 2018. They had a lovely wedding ceremony at Thornton Manor. It included both British and Indian traditions.
