The Coca-Cola Museum opened in 2008. It's filled with cool items and facts about the history of Coca-Cola. The Bible museum and gardens were created because Emma Louise Biedenharn, who lived in the house, loved collecting Bibles and religious art. She also enjoyed gardening very much!
A Look Back: The Biedenharn Story
The Biedenharn Museum started as a private home. It was built in 1913 by a man named Joseph A. Biedenharn. He is famous for being the first person to bottle Coca-Cola. This happened in the summer of 1894 in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
Today, you can take tours of the home. It looks just like it did when Joseph Biedenharn's daughter, Emma Louise "Emy-Lou" Biedenharn, lived there. She passed away in 1984.
Exploring the Beautiful ELsong Garden
The gardens at the museum are truly special. They are called the ELsong Garden. This name is a short way of saying "Emy-Lou's song." It's named after Emy-Lou Biedenharn, who was Joseph Biedenharn's daughter.
