Bielsa Tunnel
Bielsa is known for its special tunnel. This tunnel goes right under the Pyrenees mountains. It connects Bielsa in Spain with a town called Aragnouet in France.
Tunnel History
The Bielsa tunnel first opened in 1970. It helps people travel between Spain and France. It is an important route for cars and trucks.
Rules for the Tunnel
In 2002, the French government decided something new. They said that very large trucks, weighing more than 3.5 tonnes, could not use the tunnel. This decision caused some discussion in the Aragón region of Spain.
