Bigpatch, also known as Big Patch, is a small place in Wisconsin, United States. It used to be called Kaysville. Bigpatch is an "unincorporated community." This means it's a group of homes and businesses that doesn't have its own separate local government like a city or town. Instead, it's part of the larger town of Smelser, which is in Grant County, Wisconsin.
The name Bigpatch comes from a long time ago. Welsh miners came to this area to dig for minerals. They found a special "patch" of lead ore nearby. Lead ore is a rock that contains lead metal. This discovery gave the community its unique name.
