William Phineus Winneshiek, also known as NahiSonwahika, was a professional football player. He was born on December 24, 1892, and passed away on September 15, 1949. Bill played in the National Football League (NFL) during the 1922 season. He was part of a special team called the Oorang Indians. This team was unique because all its players were Native Americans. The famous Jim Thorpe was their coach. Bill was a member of the Ho-Chunk (or Winnebago) tribe.
