Birdz is a Canadian animated TV show. It was made by Nelvana in partnership with CBS and STV. The show first aired in 1998 on CBS. Later, it was shown in Scotland in 2001 on Scottish TV and Grampian TV. These channels are now both known as STV. The series was shown again starting in 2015 as part of the "Weans' World" block on STV Glasgow and STV Edinburgh. The famous song "Surfin' Bird" by the Trashmen was used as the theme song for the series. Since 2019, episodes of the show have been uploaded to the Retro Rerun YouTube channel.

Eddie wants to be a reporter. He spreads false rumors about a man in a haunted house. He thinks the man is like a character from a horror book Morty is reading. It turns out the man is actually very friendly.

Eddie and Spring try to convince Tommy to stop using his balloon for flying. Tommy hurts his foot trying to fly. Everyone then accepts his balloon because he is a turkey and cannot fly on his own.

Eddie and his friends make a film for a contest. His favorite actor is judging the contest. But his friends get mad because they don't like how they look in the movie.

Eddie and Sleepy follow Officer Pigeon with a video camera. They heard a superhero named Birdman is catching bank robbers. Later, Birdman is revealed to be Mr. Pip in disguise. Both he and Eddie admit they were wrong to interfere with Officer Pigeon's work.

The Storkowitz family and Mr. Nuthatch fly south for winter. Eddie puts off packing and forgets important gear. He gets lost and cannot call for help.

Eddie feels embarrassed because his dad always wants to spend time with him. Betty tells his dad to join Eddie's Bird Scout camping trip. They get lost on a scavenger hunt and end up having a great time together.

Eddie tries out for the main role in a school musical. He lip-syncs to Gregory's singing because he can't sing well himself, and Gregory has stage fright. Gregory feels bad about helping his friend cheat. He steps in as Eddie's backup when Eddie pretends to lose his voice.

Riley Raven, a bird Eddie knew as a child, joins his class. Riley's rebellious actions make Eddie break his parents' rules and run away. Eddie realizes Riley misbehaves because his parents ignore him. He then understands his own parents discipline him because they care. He decides to go back home.

Eddie's parents say they will buy him a zoom lens for his camera if he earns half the money. He convinces his friends to do chores for him, but his plan doesn't work out. He then catches fish to sell for money. Steffy convinces him to free the fish. His parents finally buy him the lens for his good deed.

Eddie misunderstands Miss Finch's comments about his beak. He tries different ways to make it smaller. This makes him forget about his video essay. She tells him she meant to compliment his beak. Eddie then feels much better about how he looks.

Eddie fails to join a popular group. So, he and his friends start a comedy club and get everyone to join. His friends get in trouble for joking in class and turn against him. He wins them back by beating the group leader. Eddie learns he doesn't need to belong to a club to have friends.
