Biruaca is a city in Apure State in Venezuela. It is part of a larger city area. This area includes San Fernando de Apure, which is the capital of Apure State. Biruaca is only about 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) away from San Fernando de Apure. Biruaca is also the main town, or "shire town," of Biruaca Municipality. This means it is the center for local government in its area.

Biruaca is about 400 kilometers (248 miles) south of Caracas. Caracas is the capital city of Venezuela. The area around Biruaca is mostly flat plains. These plains are called the Llanos.
