Biscuitville Fresh Southern, often just called Biscuitville, is a family-owned chain of fast-food restaurants in the United States. It is famous for its Southern-style breakfast, which is made fresh from scratch using local ingredients.
The company mainly operates in the Southeastern United States. As of early 2024, Biscuitville had more than 80 restaurants across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
History of Biscuitville

The company's story began in 1966 with two bread stores in Burlington, North Carolina. These stores were called Mountainbrook Fresh Bread & Milk. The founder, Maurice Jennings, decided to start selling pizzas and renamed the business Pizzaville.
From Pizza to Biscuits
To make money in the mornings, Mr. Jennings started selling biscuits. He used a special recipe from his own family. Soon, the biscuits became more popular than the pizzas!
This success led to the opening of the first restaurant that only sold biscuits. It was named "Biscuitville" and opened in Danville, Virginia.
How the Restaurant Operates
Since 1982, all Biscuitville locations have a special rule: they close for the day at 2:00 PM. This allows employees to spend more time with their families.
In 2007, the company moved its main office, or corporate headquarters, to Greensboro, North Carolina.
In July 2024, USA Today named Biscuitville the "Best Fast Food Breakfast" in the United States.
