Bitter lemon facts for kids

Bitter lemon is a fizzy soft drink with a special lemon taste. It's a bit bitter, which comes from the inside part of the lemon (called the pith) and a natural ingredient called quinine. This drink is enjoyed all over the world.

Bitter lemon is different from tonic water because it uses real lemon juice and parts of the lemon peel. This gives it a sour taste, which is balanced with extra sugar. The lemon peel also adds a nice smell.
