Björn Phau (born 4 October 1979) is a retired professional tennis player from Germany. He was known for his incredible speed and fitness on the court. During his career, he reached a high singles ranking of World No. 59 in June 2006.
Björn Phau had several great moments in his career. He reached the semifinals five times in major ATP tour tournaments. He also finished as a runner-up in a doubles tournament in Munich in 2006, playing alongside Alexander Peya.
One of his most famous wins was against tennis legend Andre Agassi at the 2006 Dubai Tennis Championships. Björn won the match 7–5, 7–5. After the match, Agassi even said that Björn Phau was one of the quickest tennis players he had ever played against! Björn's main strengths were his fast movement, quick foot speed, and excellent fitness. He was sponsored by well-known brands like Nike and Wilson.
