Welcome to the exciting world of Black Clover! This page is all about the third season of the popular anime TV show. It was directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and made by the studio Pierrot.
The third season first aired in Japan on October 1, 2019, on TV Tokyo. It has a total of 52 episodes! This season continues the story from Yūki Tabata's original manga series, covering chapters 160 to 228. Some episodes (123, 124, and 130–154) are special because they are "anime canon." This means they were created for the show but were supervised by the manga's creator, Yūki Tabata, so they fit perfectly into the story.
In April 2020, the show had to take a break after episode 132 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. But don't worry, it came back strong on July 7, 2020! Companies like Crunchyroll and Funimation helped bring the show to English-speaking fans. Crunchyroll streamed the episodes as they came out in Japan, and Funimation made an English dubbed version. The English dub started on February 2, 2020, on Adult Swim's Toonami block. It also had a short break due to the pandemic but returned on February 14, 2021, and finished on June 13.
The third season features eight awesome theme songs! There are four opening songs and four ending songs that play throughout the season.
- For the first 13 episodes, the opening song is "Right Now" by Empire, and the ending song is "Life is a Battlefield" by Kalen Anzai.
- From episode 116 to 128, you'll hear "Black Catcher" by Vickeblanka as the opening and "New Page" by Intersection as the ending.
- Episodes 129 to 140 feature "Stories" by Snow Man as the opening and "Answer" by Kaf as the ending.
- Finally, for episodes 141 to 154, the opening song is "Everlasting Shine" by Tomorrow X Together, and the ending song is "A Walk" by Gakuto Kajiwara.
