Black Clover is a popular anime TV show. It's based on a manga (Japanese comic book) with the same name, created by Yūki Tabata. The show was made by a company called Pierrot and directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara.

The story of Black Clover takes place in a world where almost everyone can use magic. But the main character, Asta, is one of the only people who can't! Asta and his friend, Yuno, both dream of becoming the Wizard King, who is the strongest magic-user in the land. Yuno is a magic genius, but Asta has to work extra hard because he has no magic.

The series first aired in Japan on TV Tokyo from October 3, 2017, until March 30, 2021. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu wrote the stories for the episodes, Itsuko Takeda designed the characters, and Minako Seki created the music. The first two seasons each had 51 episodes. The show used many different songs for its opening and ending themes.

Before the TV show, a special short anime called an original video animation (OVA) was made by Xebec. It was shown at an event called Jump Festa in 2016 and 2018.

In 2017, companies like Crunchyroll and Funimation made it possible for people in North America to watch Black Clover. Crunchyroll showed the episodes at the same time they aired in Japan. Funimation created an English version of the show, where voice actors spoke English. This English version started airing on Adult Swim's Toonami block in December 2017. After the TV series ended, it was announced that a Black Clover anime movie would be made!
