Blake Green's Rugby League Career
Blake Green began his professional rugby league journey in 2007. He made his first-grade début with the Parramatta Eels in the NRL season.
After playing for the Eels, he signed with the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks. He played there for two years.
In 2010, he moved to the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. This was a strong season for him. He played 18 games as a halfback for the team.
Playing in England
In October 2010, Blake Green decided to move to England. He signed a two-year contract with Hull Kingston Rovers. He joined his former teammate Michael Dobson there. They formed a new partnership in the halfback positions.
While playing for the Wigan Warriors, he had a very successful year in 2013. He helped his team win the 2013 Challenge Cup Final against Hull F.C. at Wembley Stadium.
Later that year, he played in the 2013 Super League Grand Final. His team, the Wigan Warriors, played against the Warrington Wolves. Wigan was losing 16–2 at one point. But they made an amazing comeback to win 30–16. Blake Green scored a crucial try that helped Wigan take the lead. He also put on a fantastic performance as a stand-off. For his outstanding play, he won the Harry Sunderland Trophy. This award is given to the best player in the Grand Final.

Return to the NRL
After his time in England, Blake Green returned to Australia. He signed with the Melbourne Storm in 2015. In the 2016 NRL season, he played almost every game for Melbourne. The team won the Minor Premiership, meaning they finished first in the regular season. Green also played in the 2016 NRL Grand Final. Melbourne lost a very close game, 14-12, to the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.
Next, Green signed a two-year deal with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles. He teamed up with Daly Cherry-Evans to form a strong halfback combination.
In November 2017, he left Manly early to join the New Zealand Warriors. He signed a three-year contract with them.
On 4 August 2020, Green moved to the Newcastle Knights during the season. This made Newcastle his seventh NRL club. This equaled a record held by only two other players. He played his first game for the Knights in round 13, winning 44-4. However, in his third game for the Knights, he suffered a serious knee injury. This injury, called an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture, ended his season.
After his injury, Green signed a one-year contract with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs for 2021. But he was later released from that contract. He then returned to the Newcastle Knights on another one-year deal for 2021.
