Bloomery is a small place in Hampshire County, West Virginia. It's called an unincorporated community, which means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government.

Bloomery is located northwest of Winchester, Virginia. You can find it along the Bloomery Pike, also known as West Virginia Route 127. Back in 2000, about 321 people lived there.

The name "Bloomery" comes from its past. It was once an important center for "bloomeries." These were special furnaces used to melt iron ore and turn it into useful metal.
