Learning and Education in Blue
The Blue School District 22 is in charge of education in the area. This school district teaches students from kindergarten all the way through 12th grade.
Because Blue is quite far from other towns and transportation can be tricky, the school is a very important place for social life. As Randy Collier from The Arizona Republic newspaper said in 1984, "the social life at Blue primarily is at the school."
Before, Blue only had a school for grades K-8. This meant that high school students had to go to Round Valley High School in Eagar. Some students would live with family members in Eagar, while others would travel back and forth by school bus.
The Greenlee County Library System also runs the Blue Public Library. This library is located in a cozy log cabin right next to the Blue School.
