Blue Creek is a small river, also called a stream, located in White County, Georgia. It flows into a bigger river called the Chattahoochee River. Blue Creek is about 8.64 miles (13.90 kilometers) long.

Blue Creek starts in the middle of White County, Georgia. Its starting point is just northeast of a town called Cleveland. It's also just east of State Route 75.

The creek first flows south and then southeast. It crosses State Route 255 along its path. After that, it turns northeast and then east again. Finally, Blue Creek flows into the Chattahoochee River. This meeting point is less than 1 mile south of where another stream, Amys Creek, joins the Chattahoochee.

About the Blue Creek Area

The area that Blue Creek and its smaller streams drain is called a watershed. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) has given this watershed a special name: HUC 031300010106. It's also known as the Blue Creek-Chattahoochee River sub-watershed.

This area covers about 30 square miles. It is located east of Cleveland and west of the Chattahoochee River. Besides Blue Creek, another stream called Brasstown Creek also flows through this area. Brasstown Creek is about 6.06 miles (9.75 kilometers) long. It flows into the Chattahoochee River just north of where Blue Creek joins the river.
