What Was Blue Line International?
Blue Line International was a special name, or "brand," used by the SEM Maritime Company. They started using this name in 2003. This was when SMC began offering ferry services between Croatia and Italy. The company also bought a new ship, the MV Ancona, around this time.
Where Did Blue Line Ferries Sail?
Blue Line International ferries sailed across the Adriatic Sea. They had a main route that ran all year long. This route connected the city of Ancona in Italy with Split in Croatia.
They also had extra routes during certain times of the year. These were called "seasonal lines." During the warmer months, their ferries also sailed from Ancona to the Croatian islands of Hvar and Vis.
Blue Line International stopped operating in 2014.
