Bluejay Creek is a small river located in the beautiful region of northwestern Ontario, Canada. It's part of a bigger water system called the Lake Superior drainage basin. This means that all the water in Bluejay Creek eventually flows into Lake Superior, one of the largest freshwater lakes in the world! Bluejay Creek is also a "tributary" of the Pic River, which means it's a smaller stream that flows into the larger Pic River.

The Journey of Bluejay Creek

Bluejay Creek starts its journey from a small, unnamed lake. This lake is quite high up, about 346 meters (or 1,135 feet) above sea level. Imagine starting your adventure from a high point!

From this starting lake, the creek first flows towards the north. Then, it makes a turn and heads southwest. This path leads it to another body of water called Bluejay Lake.

From Bluejay Lake to the Pic River

After flowing into Bluejay Lake, the creek continues its journey. It exits the lake from the southwest side and then flows west.

Its adventure ends when it reaches its "mouth" at the Pic River. The mouth is where a river or creek flows into a larger body of water. This happens at an elevation of about 313 meters (or 1,027 feet) above sea level.

The spot where Bluejay Creek joins the Pic River is just upstream of a place called Bigrock Rapids. It's also about 12 kilometers (or 7.5 miles) southwest of a community named Caramat.
