Bob Pate's Baseball Journey
Bob Pate was born in Los Angeles, California. He went to college at Arizona State University and Mesa Community College. In 1976, the Montreal Expos picked him to join their team in the fourth round of the 1976 MLB Draft. This was a big step towards his professional baseball career.
Before playing in the Major Leagues, Bob spent three seasons playing for minor league teams. He played for the Quebec Metros and the Denver Bears.
