Bobbi Brown (born April 14, 1957) is a famous American make-up artist and businesswoman. She is best known for starting Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. She created ten natural-looking lipstick shades that changed the beauty world. Bobbi Brown has also written many books about beauty and healthy living.

Early Life and Makeup Style
Bobbi Brown was born in Chicago, Illinois. She went to Emerson College in Boston. There, she studied theatrical makeup and photography. In 1980, she moved to New York City to work as a professional makeup artist.

Bobbi Brown Essentials
In 1990, Bobbi Brown worked with a chemist. Together, they created ten natural lipstick shades. In 1991, she and her husband launched their brand, Bobbi Brown Essentials. It first sold at a store called Bergdorf Goodman in New York City. She hoped to sell 100 lipsticks in a month. Instead, she sold 100 in just one day! The next year, she added yellow-toned foundation sticks to her line.
In 1995, a big beauty company called Estée Lauder Companies bought Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. Bobbi stayed with the company. She kept her job and continued to guide the makeup line.
In 2011, the first Bobbi Brown Cosmetics store opened in Auckland, New Zealand. It even had a makeup school inside. By 2014, there were about thirty Bobbi Brown stores around the world. In December 2016, Bobbi decided to leave the company. After that, she kept working in the beauty industry. She created new lines and shared her knowledge through podcasts and her website.
Jones Road Beauty
In October 2020, Bobbi Brown launched her second beauty brand, Jones Road. This happened 25 years after she sold her first company. Jones Road is known as a "clean beauty" brand. This means its products are made with simple, good ingredients.
The brand offers a small collection of makeup and skincare items. These include balms, cream colors, mascaras, and eye shadows. They are also sold in starter kits. Jones Road has been very successful. It made $20 million in its first year.

The George Hotel
In 2015, Bobbi and her husband bought an old inn in Montclair, New Jersey. It was built in 1902 as a home. They renovated it and renamed it The George Hotel. The hotel opened in 2018 and has 32 guest rooms.
18 Label Studio
Bobbi Brown also helped start 18 Label. This is a film and television studio in New Jersey. Many TV networks have filmed there. The studio is part of The Annex, a large event center. Bobbi has even appeared on TV shows herself, like The Kitchen on Food Network.

Bobbi Brown Cosmetics started the Pretty Powerful Campaign for Women & Girls. This campaign began on International Women's Day in 2013. Personal Life
Bobbi Brown married Steven Plofker on September 10, 1988. They have three sons and a daughter-in-law. The family lives in Montclair, New Jersey. During the summers, she spends time in Sag Harbor, New York.
