Becoming an Actress
Bobbie Phillips was born in Charleston, South Carolina. In 1990, she moved to Hollywood to start her acting career. She quickly found work in television. Her very first acting job was a guest role with Halle Berry. This was on a science-fiction comedy show called They Came from Outer Space.
Besides acting, Bobbie was also a popular fitness and swimsuit model. She even had a special contract with Joe Weider, a famous bodybuilder and businessman from Canada.
Early TV Roles
Bobbie got her first regular TV series role with Sir Mix-a-Lot. This show was called The Watcher. She continued to get many roles in TV and independent movies. These films ranged from comedies to action-packed martial arts movies. Bobbie is a trained martial artist. This meant she could do most of her own fighting and stunts in these films!
On the TV series The Crow: Stairway to Heaven (1998), Bobbie played two characters: Talon and Hannah Foster. She made history as the first female to play the character of The Crow on screen. While filming The Crow: Stairway to Heaven, she also showed off her martial arts skills in several TV movies.
Chameleon Series
Paramount Pictures offered Bobbie a special studio contract. This happened after her TV movie Chameleon got very high ratings. Because it was so popular, two more movies followed: Chameleon II: Death Match and Chameleon 3: Dark Angel.
Guest Appearances
Bobbie Phillips appeared on many well-known television shows. These included Stargate SG-1, The X-Files, and Baywatch. She also had roles in Married... with Children and Two Guys and a Girl.
She won an award for "Favorite New TV Dramatic Series" for her show Murder One. Critics from Variety magazine praised her acting in that role.
Other Projects
Bobbie also had a small part in the movie Showgirls. She starred in several smaller independent films too. Before becoming a professional actress, Bobbie performed in many musicals. As a child, she acted at the Dock Street Theater in her hometown. Later, she worked with actor Thomas Gibson on the TV series Dharma & Greg.

Bobbie Phillips is married to Anthony Filipetto. He was her hairstylist on several films and TV shows. They met on the set of a film in 1999.
In 2003, Bobbie decided to take a break from Hollywood. She and her husband traveled to Costa Rica. There, they helped rescue animals. They also traveled a lot between Canada, Fiji, Australia, and Mexico. Eventually, Bobbie moved to Anthony's home country, Canada. She even appeared on a home design TV show in 2010. It was mentioned that she had moved to Canada with their three dogs.
Bobbie has one son named Mark from a previous marriage.
Animal Rescue Work
